DEFENSIVE END 1997-2000
Schobel is TCU’s all-time terror for opposing quarterbacks. Three-time All-WAC from 1998-2000, he is first in career sacks (31) and tackles for loss yardage (315 yards), second in sacks in a season (10) and third in yards lost tackling in a season (113) and sack yardage in a season (65). Schobel, who started 46 consecutive games dating to the second game of his redshirt freshman season, finished with 261 tackles, 64.5 for loss. In the 1999 Mobile Alabama Bowl, he had three sacks and was named the game’s defensive MVP.
