TCU Magazine "Back Cover"

If there’s something funny about Clayton Hurt’s art, he doesn’t mind. “I like to see people’s reactions to them,” the Dallas-born graduate art student said. “I like to see people laugh.” Hurt’s steel-and-fabric art stems from a fascination not only with dark, twisted humor, but also with animal life. And while animals are fun for the time being, Hurt said he does sometimes tire of the monkey business. But as long as the ideas keep coming, Hurt said he’ll keep creating. “It’s just fun to see people get them,” he said. — DW
