In a move to reflect adjustments in the academic missions of several units on campus, the following name changes were made June 1:

• The School of Education is now the College of Education.

• The Department of Ballet and Modern Dance is now the School of Classical and Contemporary Dance.

• The College of Science and Engineering has a new department: Department of Environmental Science.

100 percent pass rate

The 52 members of the TCU School of Nurse Anesthesia who graduated in December had a 100 percent first-time pass rate on the national certification examination for nurse anesthetists administered by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. The national pass-rate is 89.5 percent.

Neeley in top 40

The Neeley School of Business at TCU ranked in the Top 40 again, at number 39, in the BusinessWeek annual ranking of undergraduate business programs. Neeley ranked 15th in Return on Investment for Private Colleges, 29th for Internships, and 31st for Hardest Working, based on the number of hours students spend on class work each week.

New Works

"Rapsodia Latina" features music for cello and piano with a Latin American flavor, including seven world premiere recordings. Performed by the acclaimed cellist Jesus Castro-Balbi, assistant professor of cello, and pianist Gloria Lin, these nine works by various Latin American composers are in turn romantic and lush, soothing then energetic, youthful, exciting, and always engaging.
