15-0 and national champs. Head Coach Gary Reynolds embraces junior rider Carrie von Uhlit after the equestrian team defeated Georgia to capture the Varsity Equestrian Western National Championship in April, capping off a perfect 15-0 season. In its second year, the program became the fastest to win an NCAA title in the 10-year history of the sport. "It is a tremendous feat to go from startup to national champion," Reynolds said. Von Uhlit had TCU's highest scores in both horsemanship and reining. "Hopefully, we're just getting started and we'll be back and just keep building a tradition." In May, the team was honored by the Fort Worth City Council and the Texas House of Representatives. It was TCU's first national championship in any sport since the women's golf team won the title in 1983. (Photo courtesy TCU Athletics)
